 I am still doing custom orders for charms and I am working on a range of charms for Spring. Old photos come up extremely well in charms and they make a very personal gift. If you would like to order a charm, please contact me via email or send me a message on facebook.

This Week's New Charms

 Recently listed charms available on-line now and in-store tomorrow. All one offs.

 These charms contain genuine vintage French stamps with  "simplicity" related quotes and are part of my signature range. I can always promise you a genuine French stamp but the reverse will always be different.

 The 9th Issue Jeanne d'Arc Living is now in-store.

 And, I have just had word that French Finesse will only be hitting our shores in mid-October!!! Another long wait!

Exciting News!

For everyone who doesn't follow my Facebook page- I had some exciting news last night. I will be selling Nina Hartmann's new book ~Vintagebynina, Among vintage and friends ~

For anyone who knows these books and Nina's work and style, this is just wonderful!!!

It is due out in September but pre-orders have already started to roll in so if you would like me to reserve a copy for you, please email me as soon as you can. (Numbers are limited) They will be around the $60 mark plus postage if needed.

Book News

 I have now had news that the new book that was due for release in May will only be available from mid June. So we will all have to hold on a little longer.

I also had news though that Jeanne d'Arc Living will be releasing a new book sometime in September called French Finesse with a Nordic Twist. I for one can't wait! They always publish the most superb books. Full of photos shot in natural light giving it a softness and elegance that is not often seen- BEAUTIFUL!

I had some exciting news from Jeanne d'Arc Living today. They will be releasing a new book in May! Yay! They create the most beautiful books. If you would like to be placed on a preorder list please send me an email. It will retail around the $30 to $35 mark I think.

Opening Day at Black Forest Hill

In five very short days, Simple Things Small Joys has been relocated to Black Forest Hill, Cabarlah. I certainly could not have done it without the much appreciated help of my dad and mum, John and Erica. Thank you so much!

You are all now welcome to come and see the new shop. I just love it.  I have a little studio section in this one so I will  have no trouble now creating charms and some vintage paper wreaths and keepsakes.

I also have some good news about Touch of France by Jeanne d'Arc Living. I am expecting its long awaited arrival this coming week- YAY!

Opening hours this week...

 Hello everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying the start of Spring as much as I am. I just had to pick a bowl of flowers to take to the shop with me. For all those who may not know, this is the Carnival of Flowers week in the Toowoomba area. There's lots happening around here and I must say that if you haven't had a wander around Toowoomba's gardens, you are missing out on some very lovely flower displays! Due to the carnival and start of the school holidays I will be opening from Tuesday to Sunday this week instead of my usual Thursday to Sunday. I have however come down with a rather heavy cold so if it progresses into something worse, this may indeed change. Best call on 07 46 154 193 before you head out of Toowoomba just to check or maybe take your chances as there are plenty of other lovely shops in Highfields and Cabarlah to wander around. 

 The next- 9th edition- JDL will soon be on it's way and I will let you know when it arrives.

 I still have a few copies of Amazing Retreats ($55) left and just one French Atmospheres ($65).

 There is still time to preorder A Touch of France the new JDL Christmas book. These should be coming mid October all going to plan.

Update on Timeless Shabby

Well I promised everyone that I would let you know when Timeless Shabby was in and I'm afraid as soon as the books were in, they were sold ! I'll let you know when there are more in.

Good news this coming week- more wax seal charms will be arriving. As always, numbers of each letter are limited and they tend to be snapped up very fast so if you would like one please be quick!

The typewriter key charms are also on their way and should be here in the next couple of weeks.

Please note that it is in German but it is packed full of beautiful photos and it even has craft ideas in the back with step by step photos that are easy enough to follow.
